It all started with donuts. And most people would agree that donuts are a pretty good place to start.
Knowing that this gorgeous St. Louis newcomer hadn’t yet enjoyed the glory of one of our city’s finest, albeit informal institutions, Haddon asked Sara if she’d like to grab a World’s Fair donut and watch The Crown together. Like any reasonable human being, she said yes to such an enticing proposition. And the rest, as they say, is history. That night that was intended to be a casual night of two friends hanging out became the un-official first date that led to something incredibly special.
Since donuts played a role in that first “date”, Sara and Haddon had a thought to incorporate them into their engagement session…an idea that I was more than happy to get on board with. And as if that wasn’t already enough information to convince me that these two were going to be awesome, spending a couple of hours with them made me love them all the more! These two are SO incredibly delightful! It was such an honor to get to photograph their beautiful Forrest Park Engagement session this past weekend. My cheeks literally hurt from smiling by the time it was all over!
We got to re-visit World’s Fair Donuts together as well as the site where Haddon dramatically popped the question during run in Forrest Park. The golden hour light was stunning and these two absolutely rocked their session!
Sara and Haddon, what a treat to see you two together and hear the beginnings of your beautiful story! Surely there are many more exciting chapters to come, and I wish you both all of God’s richest blessings as you dive into the wonderful adventure of marriage. Your friends and family will all surely be blessed to watch the two of you live and love and serve together! Cheers to a lifetime of joy…and donuts!
